SBA names Baby's on Broadway boutique Woman-owned Small Business of the Year

Baby's on Broadway LLC, a Little Falls infant retailer has been named Woman Owned Small Business of the year for the Minnesota District of the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Adelle Starin founded the boutique after becoming a mom in 2013. Starin, according to the press release, became aware of a lack of products available for new mothers in central Minnesota while searching for ways to make her working mother's life easier.

In a press release, Brian McDonald, SBA Minnesota's district director, said that women-owned businesses, like Baby's on Broadway, provide good jobs, customized goods and services, as well as supporting their communities. We are proud to acknowledge Ms. Adelle's success in growing her small business, in part through SBA services and programs.

Starin offers consultations as a certified lactation and safety counselor, in addition to selling baby products.

Starin will graduate in 2021 from the SBA's Emerging Leader's Initiative, after receiving coaching at the Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) in Brainerd (MN) and the Women's Business Centers (WBCs). SBA helped her with a SBA Micro-Loan from Entrepreneur Fund and the SBA Loan Guarantee Program 7a.

National Small Business Week is scheduled to take place from April 30 through May 6, 2023.
