Russia is pressuring countries to skip an upcoming peace summit on Ukraine, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky. During a meeting of defense chiefs from the Asia-Pacific region, Zelensky called on more countries in the region to commit to participating in the conference. The summit aims to find a consensus on peace in Ukraine and the restoration of its borders. So far, over 100 countries and international organizations have committed to attending. China, a strong supporter of Russia, has announced that it will not send a delegation to the conference. Zelensky urged for international support for Ukraine’s peace plan in the face of a Russian advance into its northeast region.
