New York Attorney General accused a former US President, his company, and others of fraudulently inflating the President’s assets for personal gains. A judge found them liable for fraud. As a result, the former President has been ordered to pay more than $350 million in total penalties. The trial revolved around the lawsuit accusing the President, his sons, his company, and top executives of fraudulently inflating his assets. This is not the first legal battle the former President has faced; he was recently ordered to pay a substantial sum for defamation. The ruling is expected to be appealed.
