John Deere is set to lay off around 600 employees across three US factories as the company shifts production to a new facility in Ramos, Mexico. Starting on August 30, approximately 310 employees will be laid off in Dubuque and Davenport, Iowa, while another 280 will be laid off in East Moline, Illinois. The layoffs come as the farm equipment manufacturer faces reduced demand for its products. This decision follows a series of production layoffs by the company, which is seeking to reposition itself as a technology company due to falling agricultural revenue in the US.
