Bob’s Stores, a discount store in northeast America, is closing after 70 years in business. The retailer has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and plans to permanently close its 21 locations. It will liquidate its inventory in the coming weeks. Bob’s Stores has stores in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island. The company is offering discounts of 30% to 70% off on all merchandise. Customers can still use gift cards until July 14. The closure is part of a trend of retail bankruptcies caused by slow consumer spending and rising inflation.
