A survey reveals the most likely events in 2024 according to respondents in Asia. A majority believe that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will extend his time in office, while Japanese leadership is expected to end its zero interest policy. China’s GDP growth is predicted to remain below former boom years. Respondents also expect North Korea to conduct its first nuclear test since 2017 and China to debut a 5-nanometer chip. Around half of the respondents anticipate Chinese electric car maker BYD challenging Tesla in the U.S. market. Additionally, there is an expectation of more legalizations of same-sex marriage in Asia. Lastly, more than 60 percent of Asian respondents believe former U.S. President Donald Trump will be re-elected in November.
