Jimmy Butler Scores 27, Miami Beats Boston 111-105 to Take 2-0 Lead in East Finals
BOSTON (AP). Jimmy Butler scored 27 and hit a pair buckets, giving the Heat the advantage after they overcame a double-digit fourth-quarter lead. Miami defeated Boston 111-105, Friday night, to take a 2-0 edge in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Bam Adebayo scored 22 points and had 16 rebounds, while Caleb Martin, who came off the bench, added 25 points. The eighth-seeded Miami won two games in Boston and earned a chance to finish the sweep at their home.
Game 3 will be played on Sunday.
Jayson Tatum scored 34 points for Boston, had 13 rebounds, and 8 assists. The Celtics star was 0 for 2, with two turnovers, in the fourth quarter when Boston lost an 89-77 advantage. Jaylen brown scored 16 points with 7-for-24 shooting. He went 1 for 5, and had a turnover, in the fourth quarter when Miami beat Boston 36-22.
