Apple's Weather App could have caused some confusion for iPhone users who were trying to decide what to wear on Tuesday morning based on the weather.
Apple Weather was temporarily down on that morning. It displayed only the name of a city without any forecast, an apparent repetition of previous outages in the past month. This glitch was particularly frustrating for iPhone users who had previously used Dark Sky - a popular weather app which was closed down and merged into the standard weather app on iPhones.
Apple did not respond immediately to a comment request about the outage that occurred on Tuesday. However, the app seemed to be working again by midmorning.

If your weather app is down, here are some other ways you can get the forecast.
Go local.
Find an app that focuses on your area. Many local news stations have their own weather app or news apps that include weather features. Local meteorologists who are behind these apps will likely know your area and provide accurate forecasts.
You can also check out AccuWeather or the Weather Channel.
You can find forecasts for all countries using the Weather Channel and AccuWeather applications. Both apps go beyond the detailed forecasts and provide a look at allergy levels in the forecast area.
Pay for tracking storms.
RadarScope is a great tool for tracking storms if you live in an area that experiences severe weather frequently. It features detailed radars which show the path and intensity of a storm. These detailed radars are available for a price of $9.99.
Add the National Weather Service website to your mobile.

You can also go directly to the National Weather Service. Forecasts from the service are generally accurate and reliable.
There is no app for the Weather Service, but you can access its website on your mobile phone. Search for the local Weather Service and save its website to your phone.
You can do this on an iPhone by clicking the Send button at the bottom, then selecting 'Add Home Screen', and clicking "Add". This will appear as an app in your phone, but will take you to the Weather Service forecast page for the selected region. Add a website to your Android home screen by clicking the menu button and selecting 'Add'.
Real Weather App is a simple weather app for iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. The app has a minimalistic design, with fonts and images that appear to be drawn by hand.
