The most expensive homes sold in Albany, New York, were purchased by buyers who wanted grandeur and history.
Top home sales for April include a custom-built house on Lake George, with 130 feet of shoreline. Also included is a 19th-century mansion in Saratoga Springs' downtown and a barn custom built by Columbia County artists.
The top five featured homes all sold for more than $2 million. In addition, the historic Saratoga Springs home sold at the highest price ever recorded in downtown Saratoga.

All rooms have floor-to ceiling windows on the backside, which overlooks the lake.
Fallati stated that the sellers of the property were friends who she had known for many years and owned the home for over 30 years. She listed the house in October, and it became pending by January. She described the sunsets as "spectacular."
Fallati described the house as being in a "beautiful cove" off [Northway] exit 22. It is in a perfect location and has plenty of space for guests. It's on the water. You can take your boat out to Chateau on Lake, The Sagamore, or go on a nice bike ride.

Details: This 19th-century mansion was the most expensive house to sell in Saratoga Springs' downtown in recent history. McCarthy listed the home about a year before it sold. The property, called Gray Gables, was constructed in 1882. It has been restored and maintained over the years.
These types of Saratoga properties are rarely available for sale. McCarthy explained that these properties are usually passed down through generations. It's rare that a home that is a masterpiece comes up for sale. Finding a buyer who appreciates the property can be difficult. It's an historic home at a time when many people are looking for new, new.

Details: The 15A Marvin Alley home is the most expensive condominium to sell so far in Saratoga County this year. It's also the last townhome that can be customized in Marvin Gardens. This newer development off Washington Street, in Saratoga Springs, offers a limited number of customizable options.
The home's exterior, located between Marvin Alley & Cherry Street, was constructed in 2021. However, the interior was still a shell that could be customized to the buyer. The price of the home included the finishing. The HOA fees are $850 per month.
Magoolaghan stated, "I walked into the condo and said, This is the condominium for my clients'." It's a townhouse-style condo even though it is a condominium. You can pull into your garage, and have your own elevator and stairs. It's a four-story self-contained unit. "Like a townhouse, but with the tax benefits of a condominium."
